Why the spread
Why two Phoenix quotes can sit far apart
The simplest job is a plain windshield on an older car: clear glass, no camera, no sensors, nothing bonded to it but the mirror. The most involved is usually a newer SUV or truck whose windshield carries a lane camera bracket, a heads-up display layer, rain and light sensors, acoustic glass and a heated strip by the wipers. Each of those is a different part number, not an add-on.
A camera behind the mirror adds a second step. After the new glass goes in, the camera is calibrated to the vehicle maker's specifications so lane-keep and automatic braking read the road correctly. On our jobs the calibration is included with the windshield replacement when the car needs it, done in the same visit where the procedure can be done on site.
The rest of a quote is smaller: new moldings and clips where the old ones cannot be reused, the urethane that bonds the glass to the frame, and the trip to wherever the car is parked. Ask any shop which of those are in the number it gave you.

Reading a low ad
What a very low windshield ad can leave out
Rock-bottom windshield ads show up all over Phoenix searches. Some of them are real for a basic car. Before you book one, ask these questions.
- Is the price for my vehicle by VIN, or for the cheapest windshield that fits the model?
- My car has a camera behind the mirror. Is the calibration in this price, and where is it done?
- Are moldings, clips and the rain-sensor pad included, or charged on install day?
- Is there a separate fee for coming to my home or office?
- What is the glass made to: the vehicle maker's specifications, or only to fit the opening?
- What warranty is written down, and does it cover leaks and defects in the glass?
A quote that answers all six in writing tells you far more than any headline.
Our quote
How a Bang AutoGlass quote is built
Our own quote is built the same way every time: the glass for your exact VIN, the calibration your camera needs, new parts where the old ones cannot be reused, and the trip to you. You get it before anything is booked, and the price does not change on the driveway unless the car turns out to need a different part than the VIN showed.
Paying with insurance
When your policy pays for the glass
In Arizona, full glass coverage is an option you choose on a comprehensive policy under A.R.S. § 20-264. If you elected it, the glass deductible may not apply to a windshield, and many Phoenix drivers with that option pay $0 out of pocket. If you did not, the policy's normal comprehensive deductible applies, and paying yourself can cost less than the deductible.
Either way we check the policy first, so you know which case you are in before you book. If a claim makes sense, we help you file it. The Arizona insurance page explains full glass coverage and your choice of shop in more detail.
Cost questions from Phoenix drivers
Want a number for your own car? Text the VIN to (877) 350-5962 or call our Phoenix line, (602) 782-5144.
How much does a windshield replacement cost in Phoenix?
It depends on the glass your car needs. A windshield with a camera bracket, a heads-up display layer or sensors is a different and more involved part than plain glass, so we do not publish a price list. Send your VIN and we quote the exact part in writing before anything is booked.
Should I pay myself or use insurance?
If your policy has Arizona's full glass option, a covered windshield is often $0 out of pocket. If it does not, put your comprehensive deductible next to our written quote and decide from there. We check the policy with you first.
Why does the VIN change the price?
The VIN tells us which windshield your car left the factory with, including the camera bracket, heads-up display layer, sensors, tint band and acoustic layer. Two cars of the same model and year can carry different glass.
Is calibration extra?
On our jobs, camera calibration is included with the windshield replacement when the car needs it. When you compare quotes, ask each shop whether calibration is in the price and where it is done.
Do you charge to come to me?
We are a mobile service, so the visit is part of how we quote. The number you get is for the job at the address you give us, Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm.
