The place
Whose name is on the map?
Ask three people where Arcadia ends and you will get three answers. Officially, the city of Phoenix calls this part of town Camelback East, one of its 15 urban villages, sometimes known simply as the East Side. It sits between Piestewa Peak and Camelback Mountain, with Paradise Valley and Scottsdale next door, and it has two centres: one around 24th Street and Camelback Road, the other around 44th Street and Van Buren Street.
Arcadia and the Biltmore are neighbourhoods inside it. One thing to clear up early: the Town of Paradise Valley, north of Camelback Mountain, is a separate town, not part of Phoenix, and so is Scottsdale. We serve both, and each has its own page on bangautoglass.com, linked in the questions below.
Arcadia
Orchard streets under Camelback Mountain
Arcadia runs along the south foot of Camelback Mountain, roughly from 44th Street to 68th Street and from Camelback Road up to the Arizona Canal, and its eastern part lies in Scottsdale rather than Phoenix. It started as citrus groves. The Arcadia Water Company was set up in 1919 to bring canal water to the orchards, and by 1924 it had laid about 15 miles of concrete pipe. Families farmed citrus here until the mid-1950s, when the groves gave way to ranch houses on big lots.
That history is still in the driveways. Many Arcadia yards keep mature orange, lemon and grapefruit trees, and long lots often mean the car sits a fair way back from the street, sometimes beside a gate or under a canopy.
For an Arcadia driveway
- A tree over the driveway gives welcome shade, but falling fruit, blossoms and leaves land on the open frame. Pull the car a few feet clear of the canopy if you can.
- Tell us if the car is behind a side gate or down a long drive, so the technician knows to walk the glass in.
Biltmore and the corridor
Installs at the office
The 24th Street and Camelback core is offices, hotels and shopping. A windshield can be replaced in many of those garages if the property allows it.
Arizona Biltmore
The resort near 24th Street and Camelback Road opened on February 23, 1929 and gave the whole area its name. Guests should ask the front desk before booking an install in its lots.
Biltmore Fashion Park
Open since 1963 on 31 acres along East Camelback Road. Shopping-centre lots set their own vendor rules; we would rather meet you at home or at your office.
Camelback Corridor office garages
Ask building security whether vendors may work inside, which level to use and where to check in. Tell us the clearance printed at the entrance.
Condo and apartment towers
Send the building, the space and any guest-pass or call-box step. Covered spaces are ideal in summer.
Landmarks are for directions only. None of these places is connected with Bang AutoGlass.
Getting around
SR 51 through the middle
The Piestewa Freeway, SR 51, is the spine of the village. It starts at the I-10 and Loop 202 interchange just east of downtown and runs north past the Camelback Colonnade at 20th Street and Camelback Road. Its first five miles, from McDowell Road to Glendale Avenue, were built by the City of Phoenix between 1986 and 1991, which is why the overpasses at Camelback and Indian School date from 1988.
Camelback Road, Indian School Road and 44th Street carry most local trips, and Loop 202, the Red Mountain Freeway, edges the south side on its way east. When you book, the nearest of those cross streets helps as much as the address.
ZIP codes
Camelback East ZIP codes
Three Phoenix ZIP codes cover most of Camelback East. Census ZIP data from 2020 puts 85016 on the Biltmore and 24th Street side, 85018 over Arcadia, and 85008 to the south toward 44th Street and Van Buren. Arcadia homes on the Scottsdale side of the line have Scottsdale addresses, and we serve those too.
Because ZIPs follow mail routes rather than neighbourhood names, send the full street address when you book.

Camelback East questions
Ask us on our Phoenix line, (602) 782-5144, or by text at (877) 350-5962.
Is Arcadia in Phoenix or Scottsdale?
Both. Arcadia runs from about 44th Street to 68th Street, and its eastern part is in Scottsdale. We serve the whole neighbourhood; Scottsdale has its own page on bangautoglass.com.
Is this the same as Paradise Valley?
No. The Town of Paradise Valley is a separate town north of Camelback Mountain, with its own page on bangautoglass.com. Phoenix also has a Paradise Valley urban village further north. This page is about Camelback East.
Can you replace a windshield in my office garage on Camelback Road?
Often, yes, where the building allows vendor work and the level has room to open the doors and lift the glass. Check with security first and tell us the level when you book.
I'm parked in a Biltmore office garage today. Can the windshield be done before I leave work?
Possibly. Same-day appointments are available in most areas, but it depends on the glass your car takes and on the garage allowing vendor work. Put the garage level and the time you leave in the request. The booking form takes requests at any hour, and installs run Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.
